MARK YOUR CALENDARS! September 7-10, 2010
The 2010 Combined Georgia Safety, Health and Environmental Conference and the Georgia Employer Committee Annual Statewide Conference will be held September 7-10, 2010.
You asked for Savannah…you got it! You asked for reasonable daily rates…you got it! You asked for waived internet and parking fees…you got it! You asked that conference registration rates be kept to a minimum…you got it! Conference registration rates are unchanged. You asked for it to be held in warmer weather…you got it! You got all that and more!
The Conference will be held the week of Labor Day while it is still warm and while many of you can plan a late summer, exciting long weekend with your family. We will have preconference workshops and exhibitor setup on Tuesday, September 7 with the opening of the Conference on September 8 and ending by lunch on September 10, in time for you to drive back home for the Friday night football games. The hotel rates have been negotiated to include the weekend prior to and the weekend following the conference. The rate for the past few years has been $145.00 per day, but this year…$119.00 per day! Wow! You are probably asking yourself where we would get a cheap rate like that…probably at some motel out near I-95. NO WAY!
We are proud to announce the host hotel will be the WESTIN SAVANNAH HARBOR GOLF RESORT AND SPA! That's right! It's the big one across the Savannah River from River Street. More good news is that you have all the benefits of the resort and spa without being charged the additional resort fee. The hotel rate is $119 per day. Make your reservations under the group rates with the code GDI04A.
But, there is even more good news. The Westin will be for resting only. The actual conference will be held next door at the SAVANNAH INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND CONVENTION CENTER.
If you are planning to be an exhibitor, please make plans, now. At the Convention Center, we can accommodate larger exhibits, including vehicles.
More information will follow over the next weeks, but for now…
